What's actually in it

A single tank holds four media layers, with the control valve on top and the brine (salt) tank beside it:

• Carbon filtration sits at the inlet and works on how the water tastes and smells before it reaches the softening stage.
• Water softening addresses the hardness minerals behind scale on fixtures and glass, and behind appliances that run less efficiently over time.
• Support bed anchors the media layers in place.
• Pressure vessel holds all four layers under line pressure, sized to the flow your household actually uses.

What it costs

$2,999 installed for the flagship bundle: whole-home softener and carbon filtration plus under-sink reverse osmosis, with local installation and taxes included. What a given house needs depends on the supply at that address and how much water the household uses, so the assessment settles the sizing before anything is quoted. Lifetime warranty on the control valve and tanks. Those are the parts that decide how long the system runs well, and they are covered for as long as you own it. The media and the electronics are covered for five years and the reverse osmosis unit for one, with a flat trip charge after the first year.

How it gets installed

Most installs are straightforward utility room or garage jobs. If your home has a tougher setup, we tell you the adjusted price before any work starts, never after.

Maintenance is simple

Keep two to three bags of salt in the brine tank and check it every few months. Softener salt is sold at any hardware or grocery store. The softener has no filters to change; it self-cleans during regeneration. The RO filters get swapped about once a year.
