What actually changes

What you notice once it is in.

The chemistry further down this page is the reason. This is the part you live with.

No spots on the glasses

Dishes and shower glass come out of the water clear instead of streaked, and stay that way between cleanings.

Laundry that feels soft

Towels and sheets come out softer, and detergent goes further because it is not fighting the water first.

No scale on the fixtures

Faucets, shower heads and the inside of the water heater stop collecting the chalky buildup that shortens their life.

Water that tastes right

Reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap takes the chlorine taste out of what you drink and what you cook with.

No more hauling bottles

The drinking water is at the sink, so the case of bottled water stops being a weekly errand.

Water in the Greater Los Angeles area

Three things worth knowing about your supply.

Most homeowners never look up where their water comes from or what their utility publishes about it. All of it is on the public record. Here is the short version for this part of the county.

Hard water you can see

Every city we serve sits in the Metropolitan Water District service area. Published regional figures put MWD supply around 11.7 grains per gallon, and Los Angeles County broadly in the 6 to 18 grain range depending on the local blend. Hardness is a secondary standard, not a health standard: what it costs you is scale on glass and fixtures, soap and detergent that work harder, and appliances that run less efficiently.

Your supply depends on your address

Diamond Bar, Walnut and the easterly portion of Rowland Heights are served by Walnut Valley Water District, which states it imports 100 percent of its drinking water. Whittier and La Mirada draw on wells in the Main San Gabriel Basin. Downey, Norwalk, Cerritos, Bellflower, Lakewood, Pico Rivera and Montebello sit on the Central Basin. Long Beach runs its own municipal system.

Public records worth reading

The State Water Resources Control Board issued orders requiring a number of local systems to sample their drinking water supply wells for PFAS, among them Downey, Norwalk, Lakewood, Bellflower, Long Beach, Montebello and Pico Rivera. Every utility publishes an annual water quality report. That report, not a salesperson, is the right place to see what was measured at your tap.

What gets installed

What a whole-home setup actually consists of.

Four parts, each doing one job. Which of them your home needs is what the assessment is for.

Your complete bundle

Whole-home softening and filtration tank, brine tank, and under-sink reverse osmosis with a dedicated faucet.

01

Carbon filtration stage

Sits at the inlet and works on how the water tastes and smells throughout the house.

02

Water-softening stage

Addresses the hardness minerals behind scale on fixtures and glass, and behind appliances that run less efficiently over time.

03

Control valve

The part that runs the cycle on schedule. It is the piece with moving parts, so it is the piece worth choosing carefully.

04

Pressure vessel

Holds the media under line pressure. Nothing about it is glamorous, and it is sized to the flow your household actually uses.

How does the free water assessment work?

You give us your address. We look up what your utility publishes about the supply serving it, go through it with you on one call, and recommend equipment sized to your home. Flexible financing available, no credit check.

Is my water hard here?

Regionally, yes. Every city we serve sits in the Metropolitan Water District service area, and published figures put MWD supply around 11.7 grains per gallon, with Los Angeles County broadly in the 6 to 18 grain range depending on the local blend. Hardness is a secondary standard rather than a health standard, so what it affects is scale, spotting, soap performance and appliance efficiency.

Who installs the system?

We handle the assessment and the recommendation, and we will tell you plainly when a smaller system is the right answer.

What if it breaks?

The control valve and the tanks carry a lifetime warranty. Those are the parts that decide how long the system runs well, and if one of them fails it gets replaced. The media and the electronics are covered for five years, the reverse osmosis unit for one year, and after the first year there is a flat trip charge rather than an hourly rate. Call the number on this page and we handle it from there.

What areas do you serve?
